A Creek Runs through it

Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve consists of 3,124 acres of old-growth and second-growth forests. It is one of 13 large old-growth forests in the eastern United States. It is a must see treasure in an area of many treasures. I took the Knobby Rock combined with the Sand Cave loop hiking trails. The hi-lights are Sand Cave, The Maze and Knobby Rock. It a nutshell it is about a 2 mile climb up and 2 miles back down. Several large trees are seen on this trail.
